Croatian Association of Building Energy Assessors (HUEC) is non-governmental organization registered by the City Office for  General Administration as a non-profitable legal person.

The association was founded in 2009 and its main goal is to promote, develop and improve the energy efficiency and use of renewable energy resources in Republic of Croatia, through development, education and promotion of energy audits and energy certifications in building and built environment.

The activities of the Association are:

  • To promote the activities and improvement of the quality of work in the area of energy audits and energy performance certificates, increase the energy efficiency and use of renewable energy resources;
  • To inform the public on the application, the rules, the regulations and the norms for the conduct of energy audits and energy performance  certificates, and to promote energy efficiency as well as the use of renewable energy resources:
  • To organize the presentations, seminars, public discussions and round tables for its members, interested citizens, companies and institutions;
  • To educate about and promote the rights and the obligations of licensed persons for conduct of energy audits and energy certification of the buildings  towards the beneficiaries  in the Republic of Croatia;
  • To exchange the practices and the experiences in the conduct of energy audits and energy performance certification, energy efficiency and renewable energy resources, as well as the professional affiliation;
  • Training and specialization of the members of the Association through expert meetings, counseling and study trips;
  • To suggest specialized, scientific and research projects in the field of energy efficiency and use of renewable energy resources:
  • To suggest development projects to the local and government institutions; cooperation with local administration and government institutions in development of the  regulations in the area of energy audits, energy performance certification and in the area of energy efficiency and use of renewable energy resources;
  • To monitor and develop international cooperation programs;
  • To develop cooperation with similar organizations in Croatia and abroad;
  • To publish books and magazines, brochures, flyers and other promotional material.
